My passion for dental technology lies in mentoring our technicians
to provide the best possible products and services for our dentists
and their patients.
Barry
graduated in 1969 as a Registered Dental Technician and joined Fine
Arts in 1970 as a dental technician. That year he began working
with subperiosteals and blade implants in conjunction with the crown
and bridge. In 1973 Barry became head of the crown and bridge studio
at Fine Arts and also established an ownership position with the
company.
Barry became certified in the Branemark implant system in 1985
and began an association with the U.B.C. implant club in 1987 through

Richard's career with Fine Arts began in 1975 where he quickly established
himself as a skilled and knowledgeable technician and soon became
manager of our Crown and Bridge Studio. Richard's training over
the years has included Procera, Ivoclar Advanced Metal Design and
Osseo Integrated Implants. Richard has trained with Lee Culp at
the I.O.A.D Institute in Florida and has completed the P.A.C.~Live
Advanced Esthetics studies in San Francisco. Richard is head of
our Fine Arts Esthetics Studio where he works closely with dentists
who are committed to achieving exceptional esthetics results.
As a former dental laboratory owner, Roger joined Fine Arts as leader
of our Port Coquitlam Dental Lab in 1994. With an excess of thirty
years experience in crown and bridge, as well as certification in
Procera, Implantology, NGA seminars and advanced esthetics courses,
Roger now heads our Crown and Bridge Studio in Vancouver.
Roger also provides the primary leadership for the Fine Arts Training
and Development Program, which organizes mentoring and training
for our developing dental technicians in the esthetic standards
of Fine Arts.
Anil joined Fine Arts in 1975 and now heads our Removable
Appliances Studio. Anil is certified in the BPS Denture System and
laser welding procedures. He contributes his dental technology knowledge
and experience through teaching at study groups, and at UBC and
Vancouver Community College. He has attended many implant seminars
to build on his already impressive knowledge and expertise in "Denture
over Implants".
Angus joined the Fine Arts Team as Prosthodontic/Implant
Manager in February 2001, having worked in dental technology on
Vancouver Island since 1989.
Through his dedication to continual training, Angus has developed
a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of removable
prosthodontics. Since receiving his Branemark Certification in 1994,
Angus has focused his attention on implant technology and is head
of our Implant Studio. He will be working closely with Barry to
ensure that Fine Arts is your first choice for complex combination
cases.
Lisa began her career with Fine Arts in 1988 working
in our Denture Studio. In 1990 she accepted the opportunity for
training as a wire bender for orthodontics. A natural talent, Lisa
furthered her orthodontic skills by working with two highly regarded
orthodontic technicians for a series of one-on-one training sessions
and today is our Head Technician for Fine Arts Orthodontic Studio.
Lisa maintains her orthodontic knowledge by attending post-graduate
courses as well as reading orthodontic periodicals regularly. Lisa
also has a great network of orthodontic colleagues with whom she
can discuss current advances. Over the years, she has developed
great relationships with her clients and is always open to discuss
the specifics of cases when needed.
"Every case is different and has its own unique set of challenges.
I really enjoy seeing the end result of orthodontic treatment. There's
something about those great looking smiles!"
Derek started his dental technician career with Fine
Arts in 1968, becoming Manager of our Port Coquitlam lab in 1980.
Currently, Derek manages Fine Arts in Chilliwack where he is

since 1984 and continues to mentor and train Fine Arts dental technicians
on an ongoing basis.

ensure that our clients receive cases and information in a timely
manner thereby assisting in the success of their practices.
